Bandas Festival South-West France's best bandas festival in Condom

Every 2nd weekend of May, for more than 50 years, 40 bands have invaded the streets of the city for three days of intense celebration.

This year, Cali is making his big comeback more than 10 years after his first visit to Condom. Accompanied by Dominique Rieux's Big Band Brass and his 22 musicians and backing singers, he will revisit his greatest hits as well as classics of French song in new arrangements. As the opening act, the all-female group Balkan Paradise Orchestra will electrify the audience with their gypsy melodies from Spain.

Once night falls, the Bandas take over the Grande Scène. After the Sud Bandas meeting on Friday, showcasing local and Grand Sud bands, it's time for the Concours Général. The bands will compete to seduce partygoers and the jury with a varied repertoire mixing paso-doble, variety, salsa, rock and blues. Several prestigious prizes will be awarded, including the Palme d'Or and the title of Champion of France. On Sunday morning, the Rencontre Juniors will bring together young musicians to introduce them to the unique atmosphere of the festival.

At the same time, many events will punctuate the weekend: Touch'Rugby organized by a local association, Paquito Géant on the Place Saint-Pierre and a Landes race with music to celebrate the traditions of the South-West. Finally, every evening, the Bodega du Festayre will vibrate to the sound of rock, pop and electro concerts, ensuring a festive and memorable atmosphere until the end of the night.
