Camp de Siège Médiéval An unforgettable medieval adventure in Larressingle

Located on the outskirts of the fortified city of Larressingle, go back in time and rediscover the Middle Ages and its war machines at the Medieval Siege Camp.

Passionate about his job and this period of history, Gauthier will welcome you in period costume to present the different machines that make up the evolving park.

New features: the weapons room with the sixteen knights in armour and chain mail, a presentation of model of siege engine, the stone cutting workshop, the forge and anvil workshop.

During the visit, children and adults will be able to:

• Manipulate catapult, stone throw machine, traction trebuchet, counterweight trebuchet, ballista !
• Dress up as a knight or princess. Try on chainmail, tunic and helmet.
• Learn how to attack or defend a castle. Operate the battering ram.
• Climb in the siege tower and the wooden tower.
• Practice your archery skills and shooting crossbow.
• Rotate the crane or squirrel cage to build the castle.
• Make the royal penny to pay the tithe. If it is counterfeit, you are put in the pillory. Medieval weapons, crossbows, cannons and guns, harnesses and halberds will be presented to you.
