Christmas Special Offers – The House of the Heart in Puycasquier

Frédéric and Anne-Marie offer you a unique gastronomic stay for the Christmas holidays in their guesthouse decorated in the colors of Santa Claus, both inside and out.

The complete pack includes:

• 2 nights in a double room with gourmet breakfasts (for a couple).
• 4 gourmet dinners featuring excellent Gers produce, at €50 per dinner (drinks included: aperitif, wines and champagne).
• 1.5 hour cooking demonstration around logs and chocolates, led by the chef (date to be defined): €30/person, with special attention provided.

Each dinner will be accompanied by a festive atmosphere with music and singing provided by your hosts.

The welcome is deliberately intimate and warm: it is possible to accommodate only 2 couples, accommodated in the independent rooms “Dame de Cœur” and “Comme chez Mamie”.

A stay under the sign of cocooning, flavors and smiles, where the products of the Gers region will be in the spotlight.

For the evening of December 31, Frédéric and Anne-Marie offer you a festive and gourmet menu, highlighting exceptional local products and homemade creations:

• Homemade canapés and breads
• Foie gras, woolly pork, black garlic
• Homemade puff pastries with pink mushrooms
• Casserole of salmon flavors and organic vegetables
• Venison in a ball gown (spiced crust, redcurrant jelly)
• Gascon hole
• Truffled Brie with homemade thyme bread
• Chocolate clock with raspberries, chocolate and lime – “to be on time”…

All accompanied by exceptional wines: vintage Terreo, Crozes-Hermitage and Champagne.

Located upstairs, the 4 bedrooms are cozy little nests where you love to relax, enjoying a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees. The "Lionheart" room and the "Lady of Hearts" room have a shared bathroom, ideal for couples of friends or families looking to get away, while the "Like Grandma's" room offers you a return to childhood with antique furniture, doll decorations, old floor tiles and an old fireplace. A children's room with a jungle decor is also available next to the "Lady of Hearts" room.

Wake up to the delicious smells of cakes, chocolate fondants and homemade madeleines, accompanied by a delicious and real old-fashioned hot chocolate ! Are you won over? Book your dinner to taste the cuisine of Frédéric and Anne-Marie, a menu worthy of a restaurant where the welcome cocktail and Gascon wine are included. Made from local and market products, the recipes are tasty and balanced, such as the verrines with salmon mousse, the scallop casseroles with baby vegetables and wild rice risotto, the snail purses with black garlic béchamel or the Gers chicken with black garlic. The cheeses from a dairy in Auch are also delicious, including the truffled cheese duo and the Comté with hazelnuts, while the chef's desserts are real culinary gems to be enjoyed.

Good humor is essential at La Maison du Cœur where Frédéric and Anne-Marie invite you to share their passion and discover the region. On request and by reservation, Frédéric organizes chocolate workshops to make and mold delicious treats with the possibility of purchasing, before admiring the chocolate exhibition installed in the barn outside the house. Other themes are exhibited such as Anne-Marie's 186 dolls, culinary art, musical instruments of the world or braille in reference to Anne-Marie's blindness.
