La Mirande de Saint-Clar A unique place in the heart of the medieval village of Saint-Clar

Near the medieval village of Saint-Clar, renowned for its listed market halls, La Mirande boasts a commanding view over the Arratz river valley; every room offers a superb vista! With its magnificent surroundings, the location is ideal for relaxation in a historic setting.

Light is omnipresent at La Mirande. The thick stone walls, combined with ecological materials, both thermal and acoustic, create a natural atmosphere in the house and flood all the rooms with light.

A mirande (from the Latin 'mirari' – to take pleasure in looking –) is the upper part of a house, with a window that allowed one to see and observe the valley. It is typical of the rich architecture of southern France.

La Mirande is a kaleidoscope of breathtaking views, from spectacular sunrises and thunderstorms to unexpected rainbows and morning mists that reveal the valley. You'll be left speechless and will never forget witnessing this spectacle that nature offers.

La Mirande is not only the house with the panoramic view, it is also the house with multiple terraces. When we started the renovation, we only had two terraces: the house terrace and the fig tree terrace.

Between the beginning and now, we are spoiled for choice: a cozy terrace, a morning terrace, a relaxing terrace. We even have a small terrace at the garden entrance. So, your eyes will never tire of admiring it.

The infinity pool gives us the impression of infinity; it's as if we were swimming in the valley. The naturally cleaned water is extremely pure.

If swimming is too strenuous, the spa offers the perfect answer to "what to do when you have nothing to do." It's the ideal place to catch your breath while admiring the sunset and enjoying an aperitif.
