The Château Barréjat vineyard covers 50 hectares in the commune of Maumusson-Laguian.
Their strengths are the old vines, 80 years old on average, vines of exceptional robustness which concentrate all the qualities allowing them to produce a benchmark wine for amateurs and enthusiasts.
Completely grassed since 1960, our Gers vineyard is cultivated in the traditional manner. Only natural materials enrich the soil. Our practice of disbudding, leaf thinning, and green harvesting limits yields to a maximum of 55 hl/ha. Hand-harvesting is our constant practice in order to preserve the grape bunches and all their characteristics. Our winegrowers take the greatest care in receiving the harvest. This has been carried out optimally since 1966, when a harvest reception area and an underground barrel cellar were built.
Château Barrejat 's strength lies in its enormous capital of old vines. Denis Capmartin, who settled at the château in 1992, produces four perfectly layered vintages of quality. Over the years, this château has distinguished itself and collected a fine list of distinctions and medals.
We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.
