Campistron Atelier C Art Galleries in Mouchan

Recognized in the 1970s as a photographer including Taurin, Campistron was simultaneously a painter. It was only after twenty years that he decided to show his work with several exhibitions both in France and abroad (Florence, Barcelona, Madrid).

Always driven to make sense of his work, his paintings or confront fluidity and matter, evoke the wounds of time, the inevitable and the future (his pictures of dead bulls did not speak of anything else).

A certain roughness, the dark atmosphere that emerges from his creations allow him to claim membership in the Catalan school of Tapies, Millares, Valdes or an influence of creator like Anselm Kiefer.

Since a few years, the material has taken a dominating place and always in search of new experiences, Campistron is oriented towards the Contemporary Art and towards an activity of visual artist.

More plastic artist than painter strictly speaking.

The subject remains the same, although with time a certain casualness sometimes tinged with humor settles in his creations.

Present in several public collections (General Council of the Gers, Mayor of Ceret and Fermanville) and private in France and abroad (Barcelona, Beirut, Monaco, Los Angeles).

Represented by the Artotheque Gallery of Gondrin and in Spain by Artevistas Galleries and Art Nou of Barcelona.
