Perched on the heights of the town of Lectoure, the Cathedral of Saint-Gervais and Saint-Protais is one of the most imposing monuments in the Gers. Built on an ancient Gallo-Roman temple, its history is a true witness to the different eras it has crossed. After the destruction of the Romanesque building, its reconstruction spread from the 12th to the 18th century, giving it an architecture mixing several styles. The monument is particularly representative of southern Gothic, with an imposing nave and wide square bays.
