The Garden of the Abbey of Flaran

The Flaran abbey in Valence-sur-Baïse has a simple medieval-type garden , where it is pleasant to walk, on an esplanade behind the abbey. It consists of squares of ornamental and aromatic plants, separated by alleys. These plants, sometimes with medicinal properties , were used in the infirmaries of the Abbeys and by the monks to cure various ailments. You will also find some fruit trees there.
