  Little known Saint Mont within the Cotes Gascogne IGP has a superb cooperative selling a range of top notch and incredibly low priced wines - plus a good range from Madiran and Pacherenc makers. Some funky grape varieties and the relatively unknown vignerons make blind choosing a bit hit and miss, but the staff are unfailingly helpful and it's hard to go wrong by just selecting the ones with this year's Médaille d'Or. There's always rose white and red, but also look out for sweet Pacherenc to go with your foie gras at 1/4 the price of a Sauterne. Theres tasting on site of course, and tours of the ultra clean on site production, and if you have your own containers a sort of bowser to fill up at effectively zero cost. This is a gem of a place.
